The thinking behind your direction.
Mahjong Compass reads your rack against the current card and works out which directions are genuinely live — not just which hands happen to share a few tiles.
From 13 tiles to a direction.
- Step 1
Build your rack
Tap in your starting tiles or use a random deal.
- Step 2
Find your direction
Compass evaluates your viable sections and hands.
- Step 3
Play with a plan
See what to keep alive, what may be safe to pass, and where you can pivot.
More than “how many tiles match.”
Probability, not just proximity
A hand with more matching tiles isn't always the hand you're most likely to complete.
Understand the Charleston
See which section your rack favors before you commit too early.
Know your pivot room
See whether your rack has multiple strong paths or depends on one narrow hand.
See why
Understand what makes one direction stronger than another.
What Compass looks at
- · Every hand on the card, grouped by section
- · How your tiles map onto each hand, including Joker rules for singles and pairs
- · Tile scarcity — how many copies are realistically still available
- · Concealed versus exposed difficulty
- · Simulated completion chances across thousands of runs
- · How much pivot room your rack keeps if the game turns
What Compass is not
Compass is not a chatbot guessing at answers, and it doesn't play the game for you. It doesn't recommend discards, track other players, or promise a win. It tells you where your rack is strongest so you can decide what to do next.
